A Powerful Message-What do you call it when you take the life of an innocent baby born alive or in utero?
This may be one of my most controversial posts yet. However, as a mother, a woman, and registered voter this message is one that must be shared.
I realize politics and religion are heated topics that many feel should not be discussed publicly. However, with it being so close to nominating our next President and after learning about this woman, Gianna Jessen, being inspired by her positive attitude, and the more I learn about a certain candidate;(see video embedded below) the more important I feel it is to err on the side of protecting our most precious and innocent lives....our children!
The innocent babies who have no say about coming into this world, but more importantly the innocent babies who have no say when someone for convenience sake or fear decides they no longer want to keep the baby. Please share this with as many people as you can, if you believe in the sanctity of life and protecting babies even after they are born. This is not a religious or political issue; this is about humanity and valuing the gift of life and our future.
There are alternatives to prevent this from happening to anyone, such as:
3) birth control
Taking the life of an innocent child is not a choice, it is murder and should be a crime!
Here is a list of more resources if you or someone you know is afraid and doesn't know where to turn for help:
(Keep in mind many of these resources and services were not available in 1973, when Roe v Wade was passed, it is time to reconsider this law and opt for life!)

Safe Baby Haven's by State If you've just had an unwanted baby, Don't Panic! A new law is in place to protect you from prosecution if you leave the baby at a "Safe Place".
Medical Facts on Partial Birth Abortion (may be difficult to view w/out getting emotional) This procedure is used to abort women who are 20 to 32 weeks pregnant -- or even later into pregnancy.*
(At this point in a partial-birth abortion, the baby is alive.)
* Babies born at 23 weeks or more often survive. This procedure eliminates that possibility.
I hope that I have not offended anyone and hope that I have enlightened those who are undecided voters or don't realize the alternatives to abortion and pregnancy. There are places to go for help!
Whether you think a child is not a baby in the womb or not, realize a baby, fetus, is living in the womb and growing at conception. A baby's heartbeat can be heard by three weeks! After they are born, they are a citizen of the US and have the right to live just as anyone else. If a woman is murdered while pregnant it is a double homicide, how can anyone logically think that aborting a fetus is not homicide? This is not a choice, this is murder! I hope you will not support this and will not be an accomplice to this act.
In addition, 75-85% of women who become pregnant due to rape or incest are opposed to abortion. "The only major study of pregnant rape victims ever done tells otherwise, Dr. Sandra Mahkorn found that 75 to 85 percent chose against abortion. This evidence alone should cause people to pause and reflect on the presumption that abortion is wanted or even best for sexual assault victims" Julie Makimaa, conceived by an act of rape, works diligently against the perception that abortion is acceptable or even necessary in cases of sexual assault. While sympathetic to the suffering her mother endured at the hands of her attacker, Julie is also rightfully proud of her mother's courage and generosity. Regarding her own view of her origin, Julie proclaims: "It doesn't matter how I began. What matters is who I will become."
I know someone who has gone through an abortion and regrets it to this day, the 'choice' to have an abortion is something many of these women regret for the rest of their lives. Please help spread this message or at least consider how important it is to protect the lives of babies who are born alive after a failed abortion, such as Gianna Jessen. (Note: any inappropriate or obscene comments will be removed and are unacceptable.) Thank you!
