Wishing you all a Happy New Year in 2010!

While 2009 has come and gone with many great family memories and good health, we also say goodbye to a decade of life and changes in the past ten years. Ten years ago I was unmarried, searching for the one soulmate that would change my life for the better, someone who shared the same religion, views in marriage and for the most part a similar upbringing. After years of dating many Mr.Wrongs I finally ventured to online dating and it took me three years to find Mr.Right. Today we have been happily married for eight years and have welcomed two active, healthy and happy sons.

It is my hope that they will have greater opportunities in the next decade and for many years to come. However, as a mom I am concerned about the direction of our great country. The leaders we have are not respecting the Constitution which our founders adopted for our republic.
They are not abiding by our God given rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Instead they are passing bills in Congress which many have not read, and many citizens oppose. I've shared several posts related to this topic this past year, especially pertaining to the proposed health care reform legislation and abortion, along with parental rights.

I do not mean to make this a political post, but wish to look forward to 2010 as a true year of hope and change. I am looking forward to the 2010 mid-term elections where it is my hope the people will be heard, including many who were deceived by this current administration, and we are able to elect a whole new Congress.

Please make it a point to become involved in your local, state and federal issues and help elect people with morals and values on which this country was founded! Let's make 2010 a better year for all! Happy New Year, may you enjoy peace, good health, happiness and prosperity in the year to come. Thank you for your readership, followship on twitter, facebook and elsewhere. I am grateful for all of you! Be safe and stay alive, don't drink and drive!
