Food and Safety Warning:What's in your health drink?? How about industrial bleach?
According to this article, the Food and Service Agency in the UK is reporting that this health drink called Miracle Mineral Supplement contains industrial strength bleach!! It is sold online and claims to cure cancer and other ailments. However, if taken in large doses anything with sodium chlorite could be fatal.
The Wikipedia article indicates sodium chlorite is found in other products, such as toothpaste&gels, mouthwashes and contact lense cleaners. However these are not normally digested and this drink is being sold as a health product to consume. But, as someone noted in the comments section, the FSA,Food and Safety Agency in the UK was abolished in July 2012. So how credible is the report??
The Miracle Mineral Solutions manufacturer has not responded to the claims. So, use at your own risk??!!

Urgent warning about health drink which contains industrial bleach
Government health watchdogs yesterday issued an urgent warning about a ‘miracle’ health drink that contains industrial strength BLEACH.
Hundreds of thousands of bottles of Miracle Mineral Solution have been sold worldwide after it claimed to cure illnesses including cancer and Malaria.
But its desperate users have suffered agonising bouts of nausea and diarrhoea after taking just a few drops of the fluid.
Shockingly, the health drink contains 28 per cent sodium chlorite solution – the equivalent to industrial strength bleach and six times the amount in a bottle of Domestos.
The Food Standards Agency has now warned people who have bought the drink to throw it away after Trading Standards received complaints.
”Sodium Chlorite is bleach. Bleach is not on the approved list of foods and it shouldn’t be sold as a food supplement.”
Miracle Mineral Solution is sold over the internet by a man who gives his name as ”Jim Humble”.
A bottle of the liquid costs $21.98 and users must mix it with citric acid.
They are advised to slowly increase their dosage up to 15 drops four times a day.
Makers of the liquid claim that the solution can cure a range of illnesses including Hepatitis, cancer, Crohns disease, the flu, herpes and TB.
But side-effects include severe nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea, dehydration and reduced blood pressure.
If the solution is taken in large enough doses the sodium chlorite could be fatal.
An FSA spokesperson added: ”This product is being sold as an oral supplement and is also known as Miracle Mineral Supplement.
”If you have any of this product you should throw it away. If you have consumed MMS and feel unwell you should consult your doctor.
”Micracle Mineral Solution is a 28 per cent sodium chlorite solution which is equivalent to industrial-strength bleach.
”If the solution is diluted less than instructed, it could cause damage to the gut and red blood cells, potentially resulting in respiratory failure.
”MMS is available via the Internet. The FSA is warning local authorities that this product should not be on sale. If you are aware of MMS being sold in retail outlets, you should contact your local authority trading standards department.”

Short story - it's used for a lot of things and appears to already be in many of the products that we use daily. Methinks the UK-based FSA was making a mountain out of a molehill. One can kill oneself with any manner of products if proper instructions are not followed.

Perhaps I am not in a position to write a letter to 27 European and Western countries, but what can I do? I have no other hope but you, dear ones. I have no more tears to shed. The only thing I have left is a lump in my throat. I only hope that God helps me in writing this letter. I have lost my father, and now this government wants to take our mother from me and my sister for a crime that she has not committed.
You all know that my mother is innocent and has spent five years languishing in a cold black pit. For a moment, I put myself in my mother's place and I imagine myself behind those prison bars, living the nightmare of waiting for death by stones. Imagine it for yourself. Wouldn't life be a horror if, each time you shut your eyes to sleep, you were jolted awake with the slightest sound, fearful of hearing the words: "It is time to dig the hole for Sakineh to be stoned"? Isn't it horrendous that for five years, my sister and I haven't had a peaceful night's rest? The Islamic Republic has taken our breath, and before I lose it, I wanted to write this letter to you, to ask for your help.
I don't care about myself, but I do care for my sister and my mother. I want them to live and be happy. And I sincerely tell the Islamic Republic: if you have some need for retribution, bring it down on me! Arrest me, and free my mother so that she can hold my sister to her bosom. The truth is that I have not lost all my hope yet, as long as you politicians, you the mass media, you the humanitarians, you all the people of the world, and our lawyer, Mr. Houtan Kian, are still behind us. Yet I fear the day when the telephone rings only to hear a voice telling us, "Your mother has been executed." From that moment, the lives of my sister and I would never be the same.
At that moment, I will again put on the same black shirt that I wore when my father died, this time for my mother. I tell you these words from the bottom of our hearts: I want the whole world to rush to our help. I want the 27 European countries to respond to this letter before the Islamic Republic has executed the sentence against our mother.

How silly can people get?! It's a coloring book for kids, meant to be educational. The author/publisher admits they have produced an Obama Coloring book too, so what is the big deal if they publish and sale a Tea Party Coloring Book??
What happened to freedom of the press and free speech in this country? It is slowly becoming less acceptable to print or publish or burn anything that might offend someone. The adults complaining about this book having an adult right-wing tilt to it are making an issue out of something that shouldn't be. If they don't want their children to use it and learn from history, then don't buy it, but to threaten the author/publisher with death threats is immoral&illegal!
I have to admit, I would rather purchase the Tea Party Coloring book for my kids than the Obama Coloring book, so I can see why they are selling more of the Tea Party book!

Coloring books aren't just about Disney princesses and Dora the Explorer anymore.
"The Tea Party Coloring Book for Kids," published by the St. Louis-based Really Big Coloring Books Inc. and sold online for around $4 at coloringbook.com, has been a big seller - and is causing a stir.
Some are claiming that the book wasn't made for children at all, but for right-leaning adults, as KSDK notes. Critics say passages in the books are overly political.
"When taxes are too high, the high tax takes away jobs and freedom," reads one passage. "In 1773 we had a Tea Party and this led to freedom from high taxes. Today we are having another Tea Party and this will lead to freedom from high taxes again!"
According to Wayne Bell, the publisher at Really Big Coloring Books Inc. the purpose of the book is not political.
"We're not really making a political statement," he told Hotsheet, noting that his company publishes books on a range of topics, including the Rockettes and Cirque de Soleil. He stressed that the book did not include direct attacks on a political party and contains historical data and information on how a bill becomes a law.
He also noted that his company makes an Obama coloring book, which, like the Tea Party book, is featured on the front page of the company's website.
The Tea Party book, he said, is by far the better seller, with demand so high that new books must be printed every day to keep up.
"We have sold many thousands," said Bell, who penned the book.
Bell, who describes himself as a "very liberal, open minded guy," denies that the Tea Party is behind the book or that any of the money from sales goes to the Tea Party movement.
He said he has even received death threats over the coloring book, both in writing and over the phone.

Nobody wants to think about dying, let alone leaving their family without a parent. Most jobs offer life insurance plans,but what do you do if you don't have life insurance and the 'breadwinner' of the family is stricken with a fatal illness or is in a fatal accident?? This was what the government reported in May, I'm sure it has stayed the same if not worsened since national unemployment has risen to 9.6%.
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics as of September 21, 2010, over the last year, 26 states and D.C. had lower unemployment for August, 2010, than in August of 2009, while 21 states saw over-the-year increases, with the rates in three states unchanged.
The USDA projects that next year's enrollment will reach about 43.4 million on food stamps. In August, the Senate voted to cut $12 billion from the food stamp program in order to help fund a $26 billion package to help states avoid teacher layoffs;which was essentially a Union bailout, since many states like Arizona raised taxes in order to avoid teacher layoffs.

Great compilation of this weeks top news headlines concerning Israel,Iran,the US,healthcare,the economy,NK&China!
There is so much happening in our world today it is hard to keep up with all the latest headlines and stories, while trying to maintain your own sanity and interests. I came across this site today with a great compilation of some of this weeks top news headlines.
I wish I had time to post and comment on each of these stories as they all have significant importance in our lives today. However, because of time I will just share my views on a few of them.
The biggest story of the week is probably the UN General Assembly going on in NY this week. Ahmadinejad spoke on Thursday criticizing the US for having responsibility for the 9/11 terrorist attacks, prompting President Obama to respond today. While Obama disagreed with Amadinejad's remarks that the US government had something to do with 9/11, I felt his response was weak and without emotion. Where was the emotion he had when speaking to the Hispanic Caucus this past week, where he told them that Mexican's were here long before America became an idea. While the Indians and some others may have dwelled here they did not unite and become a nation until 1776 when our founding fathers declared us a nation.
Obama's response was political rhetoric designed to motivate and encourage Hispanic voters to stay with the Democrats in the upcoming mid-term elections. In addition, Obama compared Ahmadinejad's remarks on 9/11 being created by the US government with Israel's fear of nuclear war with Iran. I felt this was also an insult to Israel, who has legitimate reason to be concerned with the threats made by Iran and their intent to build a nuclear weapon. The US should be more concerned about this threat, as Iran with nuclear weapons is not only a threat to Israel but the US and other allies.
Everything this administration does is for political reasons and for power. For example, Harry Reid tried to get the DREAM Act passed through the House this week, while adding it to the Military Appropriations Bill, along with a repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell and abortion funding for the military. Thankfully the Republicans were able to stall this from passing and the bill was filibustered. Unfortunately, military funding is being held hostage by Democrats who hold the majority, rather than the Republicans who would fully support funding our military.
Now, as I understand it, Senator Dick Durbin plans to push a separate bill or amendment to try and pass the DREAM Act possibly before November elections or during the lame duck session in December in order to push their political agenda, as the Democrats are becoming increasingly desperate to get more votes with their dropping poll numbers.
In addition, portions of the new health care reform bill went into effect this week allowing children up to age 26 to remain on their parents health care plans, pre-existing conditions will be accepted, Obamacare REQUIRES consumers to purchase 100 percent coverage for preventive services, and unlimited annual and lifetime coverage;otherwise face a fine of $1,000.00.
However, all that additional coverage comes at a cost. The Department of Health and Human Services projects that just one of these mandates will increase some premiums by nearly 7 percent. Many insurers say the combined effect is 3 percent to 9 percent. Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Connecticut says these mandates are forcing it to increase premiums for many of its customers by close to 30 percent.
According to the AP, Nearly 4 million Americans will have to pay a penalty if they fail to get health insurance when the mandate of President Barack Obama's health care overhaul law kicks in, according to congressional projections released Thursday.
The penalties will average a little more than $1,000 apiece in 2016, the Congressional Budget Office said in a report.
The vast majority of people paying the fine will be middle class, which would violate Obama's 2008 campaign pledge not to raise taxes on individuals making less than $200,000 a year and couples making less than $250,000.
Costs will keep rising. According to the consulting firm Milliman Inc., Obamacare's price controls will increase premiums for young adults by 10 percent to 30 percent beginning in 2014. In addition, many health insurance companies have come out and said they are going to do away with child only policies to save money.
Additionally, a report from Medicare's Office of Actuary report projected that Medicare cuts could drive about 15 percent of hospitals and other institutional providers into the red, "possibly jeopardizing access" to care for seniors.The report's most sober assessments concerned Medicare.
In addition to flagging the cuts to hospitals, nursing homes and other providers as potentially unsustainable, it projected that reductions in payments to private Medicare Advantage plans would trigger an exodus from the popular program. [One of the reasons AARP backed Obamacare, they hope to gain more Seniors as customers as people drop out of Medicare Advantage.] Enrollment would plummet by about 50 percent, as the plans reduce extra benefits that they currently offer. Seniors leaving the private plans would still have health insurance under traditional Medicare, but many might face higher out-of-pocket costs. In another flashing yellow light, the report warned that a new voluntary long-term care insurance program created under the law faces "a very serious risk" of insolvency.
Obamacare, the president now admits, "is going to increase our costs; we knew that." If he knew that, why did he claim his health plan would reduce costs by as much as $2,500 per family? Despicable! No wonder Nancy Pelosi said they had to pass it before we would know what was in it!!
In the end, between health care reform losing the support of a majority of Americans and Obama and the administration losing the support of most Independents, the November elections will prove to be brutal and an awakening for the Obama administration. I look forward to the elections and a promise of change coming as the Republicans try and change the direction of the country, before it is too late!

Grieving father of fallen Marine must rebury his son due to federal governments negligence!
Could you imagine having to relive the death of your child by having to verify his remains once again because the federal government failed to properly bury many of our fallen heroes in the proper graves!? How outrageous and sad it must have been for this father.
Following is the recollection of one such father, as told by the Uncle, who had to return to Arlington National Cemetery years after his sons burial to verify the body in the grave was his son. There was only one way the father would know for sure, so he had to physically dig him up and check to see if it was his son with the tattoo on his arm. The father was shocked to discover his sons coffin had been opened the night before to place his tags and that only the arm, torso and a leg were in the coffin!!
What a nightmare, thankfully the family can now find comfort in knowing that the body [parts] found were in fact his son, but imagine having to do this and find out for the first time that only body parts were found in the casket. How many more families must go through this? Recent reports have said there may be hundreds of our fallen heroes buried in the wrong graves at Arlington National Cemetery. How could this have happened?? What a disgrace to our country and those families of fallen heroes!

What follows is a guest post from Mike Warner, uncle to a fallen Marine whose body was disinterred to verify that it was buried in the right place.
As they stood at the grave site, a forklift arrives to raise a coffin from the vault that had interred it for nearly four years. Arlington knew at this point that the vault and coffin had been opened. When the family became aware of this action, an unsettling air of distrust settled upon the gathering. The father yells “you lied” as family members hold and calm him. The father already marred and angry by the uncooperative atmosphere and insensitivity of Arlington’s leadership; his grief now changes to anger. Another promise broken! Arlington, to seemingly cover their asses had breached the coffin the night before to ensure the Marine Private and the dog tags were in the assigned plot.
With a rotting corpse and the putrid stench of death permeating the air, a worker removes a dog tag from the coffin lid, wipes off the dirt, and hands it to the father. The forklift begins to raise the coffin; putrid water begins streaming out and those in attendance gasp as the fear of body parts falling from the unstable casket grips them.
Once removed, the coffin is lowered onto the bed of a truck and driven to a maintenance building where the verification process is to be held. In attendance inside were the father, a fellow Marine and friend of the Private who was to verify the remains, a Colonel, a Catholic Priest (arriving later), a Funeral Director, and some cemetery workers.
His adrenalin already maxed and because of Arlington’s ineptness, the father instinctively jumps onto the truck in his dress clothes despite the rancid odor. The father begins digging through the water soaked; stench filled rotting dismembered remains of his son, in search of the severed arm with a tattoo on it. Meanwhile the Funeral Director is standing to the side, gagging. The father looks at the Funeral Director and tells him, “Get over here and do your job!”
Arlington’s assistance during this time consisted of providing him with latex gloves. The father removes his rancid dress gloves used in digging through the soupy carnage and discards them in the trash. He also removes his jacket, hat and sunglasses, and continues to search for the missing arm. This arm with the tattoo would positively confirm that the unrecognizable severely decomposed corpse was his son’s. The father still searching as he inhales the pungent stench of rotting flesh discovers for the first time since his son’s death, that only a torso, arm, and leg were there.
Finally, after frantically searching the carnage, the arm is found under the torso with the tattoo mostly intact. The father in a gesture of love carefully and gently wipes away the dirt. He verifies his son. The veil of doubt is lifted. His son now placed in a new casket, the family looks on as the Private is reinterred, and now all are at peace.

#abuse Innocent Until Proven Guilty??Should a child murdering mother be allowed to leave the state free on bail??
This is so wrong!! I know this is America and we are innocent until proven guilty, but anyone who is a suspect in a murder, rape or other heinous crime like this should not be given bail and the rights to leave the state where the crime was committed!! How can they fully trust she will not attempt fleeing the country?? They don't even plan to use an ankle bracelet like they do for other lesser criminals, like Lindsay Lohan??!!

Judge lets accused child killer leave the state without bond
TUCSON (KGUN9-TV) - How does someone accused of beating a child to death not only get to go free without bond, but also leave the state?
That is exactly the what is going on with child abuse defendant Melissa Bizilia. 9 On Your Side spent much of Friday trying to find out why.
Her son, Brett Dillon, Jr., died of head trauma just short of his second birthday. Bizilia is one of two people charged with murder in his death. But now, not only has a Tucson judge set her free without bond pending trial, he's also given permission for her to leave the state.
When the 9-1-1 call came in on Brett in late July 2009, the claim was that he fell in the bathtub and hit his head. He died two days later. Soon Tucson Police decided his death was no accident, but rather child abuse, and murder.

That is exactly the what is going on with child abuse defendant Melissa Bizilia. 9 On Your Side spent much of Friday trying to find out why.
Melissa Bazilia and her boyfriend Ryan Sullivan, ages 20 and 32 at the time police arrested them, have been in jail waiting for trial for more than a year. Their bond was a half million dollars.
This week Judge Howard Fell agreed to let Bazilia out of jail until her trial starts in February. There's no bond, just the promise to live with her father in Wisconsin.
For the baby's father, it's hurt on top of hurt.
KGUN9 reporter Craig Smith asked Brett Dillon:"When you think of her situation versus your son's situation what do you think?
Dillon said, "I feel she should feel the same thing he's feeling right now. Her being in jail right now is basically the same situation. He's not able to live in the free world and I don't think she should either."
Bazilia's attorney explained to 9 On Your Side that she asked for the release when prosecutors asked to push back the trial. Prosecutors asked for delay because Ryan Sullivan's attorneys added new witnesses; prosecutors said they needed more time to do research.
Assistant Public Defender CeCelia Valentine says the delay led to so many scheduling conflicts that the trial slipped from this month to February. That would lead to another six month stretch in jail for someone who's supposed to be considered innocent until proven guilty.
Valentine says of the boy's father: "I can understand that he might be frustrated and he might be angry. But this is really unfortunately out of our control and so, letting her out was actually in the best interests of justice in this case."
On bond matters, judges often rely on the advice of Pima County Pre-Trial Services. That agency's report recommended releasing Melissa Bazilia to her father's custody, but also noted that prosecutors were objecting to that. Those prosecutors noted that the charges are very serious, and they stated that they consider Melissa Bazilia to be a flight risk. But Judge Fell ordered Bizilia released anyway.
Her attorney says while with her father in Wisconsin, Bazilia will be required to check in several times a week, but will not have anything like an ankle bracelet or home visits from authorities in Wisconsin.

Felt like sharing some less political and more inspirational posts tonight.
These are must reads!! One of the most beautiful stories of our time...another example that miracles still happen and that the healing power of our Creator still touches lives through love. This mother used her instincts and touch which through God's will her baby survived.

Sade, of Sheffield, South Yorkshire, said: 'Everything was going fine. I'd had no complications in pregnancy and he was born a healthy 7lb 1oz. We were settling in to being first-time parents.
'It was a Sunday night and we put him to bed as normal and he was fine. But then when he woke up at around 4.30am he was drenched with sweat and his skin felt like it was on fire but at the same time shivering.
'It was really scary. We waited for the doctors to open and took him down straight away.
Medics were so sure the ten-month-old would not make it through the night they told his parents to say goodbye...
