Another sick and sad story. A vulnerable two year old little girls was left in the care of a 'trusted' male friend while the parents went on a ride at Sea World. Later they found out she was raped after finding pornographic images of the rape on his cell phone! What a sick&twisted person. I hope he gets life in prison minimum and castrated. Other prisoners will have lots of fun with him I'm sure as most sex offenders of children don't do so well in the prison environment.

The other assault was on a woman at Disney World;who entrusted an employee to help her with costs of the vacation and then later he took advantage of her in her hotel room while she napped. I don't know what she was thinking, she obviously didn't know him well enough to trust him in her room, but when someone helps you with costs&offers to accompany you&your kids around Sea World I guess she built a sense of trust and gave him the benefit of the doubt. Women need to be smarter and not fall for men like this! They are grooming them and manipulating them;setting them up for an attack. Lots of sickos in the world, parents and single women should always be on guard&skeptical.

In less than a week, two famed Orlando, Fla., theme parks have been rocked by sickening sex-attack allegations that have shattered the vacation spot’s image of innocence and safety, according to reports.

First, at SeaWorld, a man alleged raped a 2-year-old girl while her mom was going on a ride on Feb. 17. Then on Tuesday, a woman was allegedly raped by a Disney World employee in a hotel room at the Florida fun spot.

In the sick SeaWorld sex attack, suspect Michael Grzybowicz is accused of taking disgusting pictures of his rape of a diaper-wearing toddler with his cell phone.

The 26-year-old allegedly accompanied the parents of the toddler to the park — and was asked by the parents to watch the little girl while they went on a ride, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said.

Four photos in his cell phone’s memory chip allegedly showed the violation of a toddler, who was wearing a diaper and a yellow sun dress while riding in a dark blue stroller, according to The Orlando Sentinel.

Grzybowicz claimed he didn’t know how the images got on his phone.

He was jailed last Saturday on a charge of possession of child pornography and faces additional counts of sexual battery and lewd and lascivious molestation, authorities said.

"Nothing is more important than the safety and welfare of our guests, and our team members are trained to report any kind of suspicious behavior," SeaWorld said in a statement.

Five days later at Disney World a single mom was allegedly attacked by a Disney reservations clerk who lured her with offers of free passes and hotel discounts, authorities said.

Wilbert Brookins, 31, was charged with sexual battery and is being held on $10,000.

The mom-of-two had booked the vacation in January, telling Brookins she was single and unemployed and using tax-return money for the trip, the Daily Mail reported.

Brookins then offered to make reservations in his name so she could get an employee discount — though she reportedly insisted there’d be no sex in exchange, the newspaper said.

When the family arrived Tuesday and checked into the Caribbean Beach Resort on the Disney property, Brookins even escorted them through the Magic Kingdom.

But when the mom awoke from a nap after a Space Mountain ride, Brookins allegedly attacked her back in the room, reports said.

The woman also claimed Brookins ripped off her debit card, a room key and $40 before taking them to Epcot on Wednesday, though he didn’t stay with the family there, the Daily Mail reported.

Disney placed Brookins, who has an arrest record in Maryland, on unpaid leave pending the outcome of the police probe.

Meanwhile, a Jacksonville TV station reported yesterday a Disney Resorts electrician was busted after allegedly watching porn with his pants down in a van parked near a school.

Edgar Arnold Jr. was jailed without bail and also suspended without pay by Disney.

Disney didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment.

I've been following this story the past week and am heartbroken to hear the health care system in Canada puts the value of life in the hands of a Court system rather then the family's.

The story of baby Joseph reminds me of a story I blogged about last year in Canada: URGENT:Don't let them 'pull the plug' on baby Isaiah! Sadly, baby Isaiah lost his battle with the courts and was left to die as well. It makes you wonder how many times a day,year these events are happening in countries where socialized care is in place and how many countries are deciding who lives and who dies based on the countries 'health care allocation officials opinion'. How soon before this system is in place in the US under the new Affordable Care Act/Obamacare??

This is another reason we as a society need to become a culture of life rather than a culture of 'choice' and death. Nobody other than the family themselves should be able to consent to removing life saving medical care from another person. This is another case in Canada where a baby's life is on the line because a board of bureaucrats[otherwise known as death panels] have decided it is ok to remove a breathing tube from a baby they deem non-viable. Yet his parents are fighting to save his life and give him a chance to live and die naturally at home.[see update below] I would be extremely upset to ever have to be in this position, especially when there is a chance that he could live another six months at home after the tracheotomy. Why don't they err on the side of life&at least try to let him have a chance at life another six months or longer?

A Canadian hospital is still threatening to remove the life support for Baby Joseph Maraachli, a one-year-old boy from Windsor, Ontario, has been at Victoria Hospital in London since October with a rare deteriorating condition that is not improving.

This comes after good news where the parents of the child thought the hospital would not remove the life support and where they hoped he would be able to be taken to a hospital in Michigan that would provide appropriate care and treatment.

The doctors who have cared for him want to remove his breathing tube but Moe Maraachli and Sana Nader took their battle to court to allow the tube to be removed at home , so the boy can die surrounded by his family. A Superior Court judge in London, Ontario, last week, dismissed the request of the Canadian couple to overturn a decision requiring the removal of their baby’s feeding tube in a hospital instead of at home.

Then, Alex Schadenberg, the director of the Euthanasia Prevention Coalition, told LifeNews.com in an email late Sunday that his group was able to help the couple find a new attorney and make progress.

Now, the hospital is threatening to remove Joseph’s life support and the Office of the Public Guardian may be getting involved in the case and could issue a decision forcing the removal of the life support as early as today, according to the CBC. The office could not get involved in the case on Monday because of an official holiday, and it was closed.

The CBC indicates the potential transfer to Children’s Hospital of Michigan is in the works. Victoria Hospital sent Joseph’s records to the hospital on Monday and the family’s lawyer, Mark Handelman, said he is doing everything he can to get Joseph transferred. The transfer has not been approved and Laurie Gould, a spokesperson for London Health Sciences Centre, confirmed to the CBC that no official request has been received from the hospital for one.

Schadenberg described the case in comments over the weekend: “Baby Joseph has a terminal condition. His parents experienced a similar tragic situation with their first child (a daughter) who died more than eight years ago. At that time the doctors gave their daughter a tracheotomy, that enabled the Maraachli family to bring their daughter home and care for her. She lived six more months and in the end she died naturally in the loving arms of her parents.”

“The Maraachli family asked Victoria hospital that the same be done for Joseph,” he said. “Victoria hospital refused and instead brought the family to the Consent and Capacity board to have the ventilator withdrawn. The Consent and Capacity board sided with the hospital. The family challenged that decision to the Ontario Superior Court who, on Thursday, sided with the Consent and Capacity board and decided that the ventilator would be withdrawn on Monday.”

Schadenberg says the couple is facing significant legal costs and donations to the Euthanasia Prevention Coalition will go to supporting them.

The Consent and Capacity Board of Ontario, an independent agency that is devoted to dealing with Health Care Consent Act, ruled on January 26 in favor of the doctors. Last week, Justice Helen Rady said she agreed with the board’s decision in a ruling that came just an hour after attorneys for both sides made their case in court, according to the Windsor Star newspaper.

As a result, doctors were to remove Joseph’s breathing tube on Monday morning.

“I do my best for my baby. My son is not a criminal . . . to just let him die,” Moe Maraachli said after the decision, according to the newspaper. “They are taking my baby away from me.”

Maraachli said he didn’t know how he would break the news to his wife, who was so emotionally distraught she was unable to sit through the hearing. He also did not know how he would explain the decision to the couples other child, who is seven years old.

The baby’s parents want a tracheotomy performed on their son so they can take him off the respirator and bring him home to live his last days surrounded by family. The London hospital has refused to perform the procedure.

Matthew Archbold of the Catholic blog Creative Minority Report responded to the decision last week saying, “I can’t even imagine what these parents are going through. These people want a tracheotomy done so they can care for the child at home but the hospital’s saying the surgery is too risky so instead they’ll just remove life support and let him die. So…what happens if the tracheotomy fails? He might die. So to avoid the possibility of death the hospital is going to ensure death.”

Joseph Maraachli is dying. The one-year-old boy is currently connected to a breathing machine at a London, Ontario hospital. His doom is written in an undiagnosed neurological disorder, from which doctors say he will never recover.

The hospital has been trying to disconnect his life support for some time, while his parents make frantic efforts to keep him alive. They have requested a tracheostomy, which they say helped a previous child with a similar condition live for an extra six months, but the Canadian hospital considers the procedure “needlessly invasive.” As a Fox News report puts it, using language guaranteed to send a chill down the spines of American readers, “Canadian health care allocation officials already ruled that Joseph had to be taken off life support and allowed to die in the hospital.”[my emphasis]

Court orders have kept him alive this far, but he appears to have exhausted his appeals. His parents started a “Save Baby Joseph” Facebook page, which has accumulated over 12,000 fans.

Neonatology experts have asserted that Joseph should have received his tracheostomy long ago. Although his doctors classify him as “vegetative,” Joseph has responded to stimulation from his parents, and his hands are restrained to keep him from pulling out his breathing tube.

Joseph’s parents tried to get an American hospital in Michigan to perform the procedure, but they “declined to accept the boy as a patient after reviewing his medical files.” The hospital in Ontario has modified its judgment slightly, and decided to transport the boy home, where it will remove his life support equipment and allow him to die.

Isn't that just heartbreaking to know the parents have to take their son home knowing that his chances of survival are even less since the hospital wouldn't perform the tracheotomy they did on their daughter who lived an additional six months. I don't understand why the US hospital wouldn't take him and after hearing the Schiavo Foundation was involved trying to save his life. I had also heard someone offered to pay for his transport to an American hospital but why wouldn't any take him??So sad, may his family and baby Joseph be comforted in each others arms during his last days surrounded by love,family and friends and may God grant them peace and comfort during this difficult time.

This is one of the most sick,sad and horrific examples of child abuse and torture I have read in awhile, outside of the debates I have had recently with the prochoice/proabort people on twitter. Some of them would say these kids would have been better off aborted. I disagree, at least they had a chance to live, see a sunset, smile, have friends, and be loved. I'm sure there are many friends and family members who are mourning their loss and short lives daily. Sadly their lives ended in a tragic way, but I doubt all three and four tender years of their young lives were not entirely surrounded in abuse&pain. At least I would like to think someone at some point in their sweet, precious lives cared for them, hugged and loved them at some time. I know God did and does, and that is what matters most. Now they are safely guarded in Heaven at His side. For those who don't believe in the after life,I pray one day you will find God because you have nothing to fear but fear itself&will only gain eternal life.

As for the kind of people who poisoned these precious children with anti-freeze, the so called 'step-mom' and her 'common-law' husband, are not even worth the air they breath. I have said it before, and I will say it again-anyone who treats another human being with this little respect and has this little regard for any life should be punished to the full extent of the law, even if it includes the death penalty. I am prolife, but I am also for capital punishment against the worst and most heinous people on earth, which I barely see as human because they are so heartless and disrespectful of others lives that they disregard them like trash and throw them into a dump or poison them to death just because they are tired of their 'responsibilities'. That is the worst! Crimes against children such as this are the absolute most appalling because they are so young, unable to defend themselves and are in your care for protection, nurturing and love.

I have debated many men and women recently on twitter who stand by their choice and 'right' to abort a baby, a human fetus, because they don't want to carry the baby to term and will ultimately say 'nobody has the right to live in their womb!' Where is their maternal instinct??? It is ludicrous, heartless and mindless the logic of some of these people. I'm ashamed to call them human, they are heartless and often brainless and show no respect nor regard for human life and how we are created. Prochoicers would rather see the baby, or in this case, the children as trash, they dehumanize them and see them as an inconvenience.

A detective says an Alabama woman told a fellow jail inmate she poisoned her two stepchildren with antifreeze in an attempt to reduce responsibilities for herself and her common-law husband.

Mobile Detective Angela Prine testified Monday that Heather Leavell-Keaton admitted the poisonings to another inmate while confined at the Mobile County jail.

She told the inmate that she and common-law husband John DeBlase wanted the children dead because "it would be better if they had less responsibilities," the detective said

At a previous hearing, investigators had said Leavell-Keaton told them DeBlase fed rat poison to the children.

Prine's testimony came in a preliminary hearing on capital murder charges against the 22-year-old stepmother.

Leavell-Keaton's attorney, Richard Horne, said she is functionally blind and not capable of some the things she's accused of doing. But Circuit Judge Rick Stout found probable cause to send the case to the grand jury.

The two children were reported missing in November. The body of 3-year-old Chase DeBlase was found near Vancleave, Miss., on Dec. 8 and the body of 4-year-old Natalie DeBlase was found near Citronelle three days later. Their father is jailed on murder charges.

Prine testified that jail inmate Roseanna Russell was assigned to help Leavell-Keaton because of her blindness and the defendant began talking to her about the case. The detective said Russell learned the couple first poisoned their dog with antifreeze "to find out how long it would take to kill a living thing." Then they started giving antifreeze to the children, who got progressively sicker.

Natalie died March 4, 2010, and they dumped her body, the detective said. They stopped poisoning Chase for a few months but started back because he began crying and asking for his sister in front of others, she testified.

Chase died June 20. On the way to dump his body in Mississippi, they stopped at a video game store to buy two games because they no longer had the responsibilities of the children, the detective said.

If convicted of capital murder, Leavell-Keaton could be executed or sentenced to life in prison without parole.

I came across this article today while tweeting about abortion and pro-life issues. I had to laugh because while honest& flattering, it is also humorously written. It's amazing after spending more time on twitter  discussing abortion the past week, I find  the majority of 'pro-choice' women/pro-women feminists[feminazis] argument for keeping abortion legal clearly shows how many of these women don't care about the life of the innocent human life& child in their womb, nor the parental rights of a father and how self-serving and self-centered they really are. The right wing is currently chock-full of stunning women who want to end their gender’s right to control their own bodies. Homely middle-aged men are just going to have to find another sex to push around.

Awww. Frumpy aging hispters are getting a little angry at pretty pro-lifers. Let's make this clear, the pro-life movement is chock-full of stunning women who don't want a bunch of frumpy middle-aged hags telling them what freedom means. They know that freedom starts with life. That's what makes the pro-aborts angry.

They've seen the effects of your utopian vision and have rejected it. Feminists are perturbed because posterity has kicked them in the posterior. I understand that it must be difficult for all those bra-burning Woodstock wanna-bes to see a new generation come along and say they were wrong. It's no wonder they get all "I'll get you my pretty" on beautiful young pro-lifers.

Have you seen the March for Life? So many young, vibrant and beautiful people, their eyes full of hope and smiles on their faces. It's inspiring to most, except if you see their beauty, hope, and optimism as a threat like Gail Collins clearly does.

I almost want to start a calendar or something just to to tweak the hags. We could call it the "Women of Extremism" Calendar. That'll really get them going.

When I first heard the news about what happened to these innocent& beautiful children at the hands of their own mother I was shocked. Sadly it's not the first time a mother, parent, has taken their children's lives but this was so recent and callous I couldn't help but share my thoughts on it.

I, along with others pray for their father's strength to overcome such a great loss. He has been serving our country in the Middle East while this happened. Children are beautiful gifts from God and should never be taken too soon, no matter how young or old all life is precious. May His love and strength embrace the father,family and friends as they overcome such a great loss. I wish there was more I could say or do, but hope their father is comforted knowing that they are both safe in the hands of God &watching over him.

My heart especially breaks for their father, who is serving our country overseas for the military. I could not imagine losing a child, let alone both of them and to the hands of someone who for so many years nurtured and protected them. I don't know why the mother did what she did. It was obvious she was depressed, acting on emotion and anger and decided to take their young lives for a foolish reason. She confessed to police she killed them for being too mouthy. Obviously kids and teens will be kids and they will rebel, parents need to learn how to manage their anger without abusing and killing our kids.

Parenting is hard work. As a stay at home mom, every day I pray for strength and restraint, but know in my heart and mind I would never harm my own children or anyone else. Children are challenging regardless of age. I wish she would have reached out for help sooner than that morning,when she called her mother about feeling depressed, but instead five days before, on the day she chose to go out and purchase a gun. She will now live the rest of her life knowing what she did. On a friends Facebook post in October for 'mommy week' she proudly posted the birth dates of her children,when she became a 'mommy':

Not that I'd wish death on anyone, but I don't see why someone like this doesn't take their own life instead, but I guess it reflects the failings of many in society who support the murder of the unborn. If the world we live in doesn't respect the most innocent and vulnerable in the security of the womb,how will they learn to respect all human life?

I don't know if the mother had received previous counseling or medical treatment for her depression, but apparently she had issues she was unable to handle on her own and sadly family&child investigators didn't find any imminent danger towards the children despite the daughter having told her school counselor of anger issues and that her mom had hit her in the face several times back in November.

According to an AP report in the Miami Herald, authorities say Julie Scheneker killed her teenage daughter and son because she was 'fed up with them talking back and being mouthy'.

Authorities say Julie Powers Schenecker was taken to Tampa General Hospital shortly after midnight Saturday to be treated for a medical condition that existed before she was taken to jail. Hillsborough Sheriff's deputies - who oversee jail inmates - said they could not reveal Schenecker's medical condition, citing health care privacy laws. [Most likely a mental evaluation was involved. She has since been released to jail and was in court today.]

An arrest affidavit said Schenecker shot her son twice in the head in the family car "for talking back" as she drove him to soccer practice. The report said Schenecker then drove to their upscale home and shot her daughter in the face and head twice inside the home, as she worked on homework at her computer.

Schenecker's mother called police Friday morning, and told them she was concerned after her daughter had sent an e-mail saying she was depressed. Officers found Schenecker drenched in blood on her back porch - and once they saw the teens, the scene was so troubling that a stress team was called to counsel the responding officers, a police spokeswoman said.

Calyx, the girl, was 16 and a cross country running star at her high school. The 13-year-old son, Beau, was in eighth grade.

Investigators believe the teens "never saw it coming," said police spokeswoman Laura McElroy. Both were killed with a .38-caliber pistol. The arrest affidavit said the weapon was purchased five days earlier.

Schenecker's husband, Parker Schenecker, is a career Army officer attached to U.S. Central Command in Tampa. He was working in the Middle East when the shootings happened.

In 2008, the family moved to Tampa and bought a $448,000 home in a quiet, upscale suburban neighborhood. As the sun set Friday evening, residents walked by crime scene tape that sealed off the cul-de-sac that the Schenecker family lived on.

The family appeared to be happy, at least according to friends - and they appeared to glow in photos posted online. The two teens were described as well-mannered by family friends. In several family portraits on Parker Schenecker's Facebook page, the four posed, smiling and relaxed.

"You all look so stunning and young. Did you find the fountain of youth and your not telling anyone!!!! WOW, you four look so good and healthy!!!" wrote one of Schenecker's friends on a dramatic black-and-white photo of the family.

Another photo shows the four in Santa hats. "What a great photo! You never disappoint! Your family is something to be proud of, look at how happy every one of you are!" a friend wrote in response.

Parker Schenecker also posted several photos of Calyx's cross country running team.

Julie Schenecker's Facebook page says she studied physical education at the University of Iowa. In May 2010, she posted a video of her husband; he appeared in a real estate company's video about looking for a home in Tampa.

She posted words of encouragement on her daughter's running photos, reminisced about skiing in Austria in the late '80s and added more than 400 friends.[which has now gone down to 399 as of 1/31/2011]

On Aug. 24, she "liked" a link that read: "Be kinder than necessary, because everyone you meet is fighting some sort of battle."

A Facebook memorial page has been set-up with over 8000 people pouring out their support and prayers to Calyx and Beau.

According to today's news reports,the new Tampa mother accused of fatally shooting her two teenage children previously was accused of physically abusing one of the 16 year old daughter:

On Nov. 6, police came to Julie Schenecker's home and spoke with her about the possible abuse of her 16-year-old daughter, Calyx. Officers didn't see any physical injuries.

Schenecker was not arrested due to a lack of evidence of a criminal offense.

Calyx said she had told a counselor that her mother had hit her in the face.

"She has been seeing a counselor for three weeks now for verbal abuse towards her mom," the report states.

Calyx said Nov. 2 she was on the way home from cross country and wanted to stop by Publix. There was an argument. Julie Schenecker waited in the car until she returned; then Calyx drove home with her mother in the passenger seat.

"(Calyx) Schenecker claimed she said something she should not have and she now regrets it," the report states. "This is when her mom began to hit her with an open hand on her face for approximately 30 seconds but she is not sure how long or how many times. Then at the gate to the neighborhood her mom hit her again one to three more times.

"When they were parked in the driveway her mom tried to hit her again but she held her mom's hands so she would not get hit. (Calyx) Schenecker grabbed her book bag and ran inside the house to her room. (Calyx) Schenecker advised she was wearing sunglasses during this incident and did not get any injuries. She claimed when she got hit her face was red."

Calyx told the officer that about a month prior to that incident, her mother hit her in the mouth in the car, causing it to bleed. That incident had not been reported to police.

"(Calyx) Schenecker said she was never hit like this before," the report states. "She is usually disciplined by getting her privileges and her belongings taken away from her."

Julie Schenecker told the officer that the incident began when she looked in a bag to see what her daughter purchased and Calyx told her to stay out of her business. "You're disgusting," and "You're not my parent," Schenecker said her daughter told her. Schenecker said she became upset and backhanded her daughter in the face three times, the report states.

Schenecker said words were later exchanged again, but when she tried slapping her daughter, her hands were grabbed, according to the report.
