Who knew that WHO predicted blondes would become extinct&red heads are rare? #prolife #science #tcot

I came across this interesting short video explaining What determines your hair color?

While genetics is determined at conception through DNA inherited from the biological parents, hair color and eye color are also determined in the womb.

Why the #prochoice movement is flawed&ignores human rights&science #prolife #tcot #parents

This post is in response to a pro-abortion advocate who insists human fetus are homo sapiens but not yet human beings until they are born.[which I find common misinformed logic among those who support abortion, they attempt to dehumanize the preborn in order to justify the indefensible.] I attempt to counter her claim with facts from medical and legal definitions to embryology and explain how protection of human rights is seen internationally as inherent from conception. However, sadly for reasons unknown, these treaties and crimes against humanity have been ignored or unenforced, particularly in the United States.

@woolybumblebee of the blog Is God a Squirrel? writes:

The Pro-Life Debate, and Why it is Flawed: "I have encountered many pro-life people in my lifetime, and many of them tend to argue the same point over and over.  Their main argument against abortion is that a fetus is a "human being", and therefor should be granted the right to be born, and not aborted. The right to life."

@woolybumblebee further claims in her post these definitions for human, human being and species:
Being a "human being" is distinguished from other animals characterized by superior mental development, power of articulate speech, and upright stance.

Human: The label given to the species of said mammal.

Human Being: Distinguished from other animals characterized by superior mental development, power of articulate speech, and upright stance. Of the species Homo Sapiens

Species: Having or showing characteristics regarded as distinguishing humans from other animals. It is the most basic unit or category of biological classification, which is the systematic arrangement of similar entities on the basis of certain differing characteristics and the basis of their relationships.
She bases this analysis based on these definitions:
Now lets look at terminology comparing the meanings of "Human", "Human Being", "Species", and "Fetus".

human [ˈhjuːmən]
1. A member of the genus Homo and especially of the species H. sapiens.
2. of, characterizing, or relating to man and mankind (Human Nature)
3. having the attributes of man as opposed to animals, divine beings, or machines;
a.  kind or considerate
b.  natural

human being; homo, man, human (any man, woman, or child, living or extinct member of the family Hominidae distinguished from other animals characterized by superior mental development, power of articulate speech, and upright stance. Of the species Homo sapiens,

fetus  (fe-tus)
1. The unborn young of a viviparous vertebrate having a basic structural resemblance to the adult animal.
2. In humans, the unborn young from the end of the eighth week after conception to the moment of birth, as distinguished from the earlier embryo.
3. The unborn offspring of a mammal at the later stages of its development, especially a human from eight weeks after fertilization to its birth. In a fetus, all major body organs are present.

My response to the above blog post tweeted to me last night from @woolybumblebee follows:

I respectfully must disagree. If a fetus is a human species of human parents, then they are a human being&  the level of their development should not deny them of human rights and the right to life. That is discrimination.

You said:consciousness and ability to respond to one's environment is the key to being a human being.

I disagree with this point because people in coma have no conscience but are still human beings. We were all fetus, embryo, blastocyst at one time, if we were not given the right to live none of us would be here. Thankfully, not all of us believe that we don't have a right to life until born. The mere fact that we are human species and human beings in the womb proves we are the same persons we become outside the womb that we were inside, just more developed;this is why feticide laws protect the preborn, because if someone assaults/kills a pregnant woman& or the fetus dies it is double homicide or feticide. The taking of the fetus life;takes away his/her right to life.

Just because mammals may resemble one another at early stages of development still does not give us reason to kill other humans because of the way they look[or their level of development]. That is how we all looked and the level of function we all were at that stage of our life. If someone terminates the fetus they are not given the chance to live& develop into the full infant, child, teen, adult they would become, as any living woman was given. Without the right to life& the continuation of our species we will die out. Nations such as China&  India have chosen gendercide, because of this they have a low female population. Worldwide there have been 163M females aborted;without women there will be no more civilization.

Sadly, prenatal testing has led to the slaughter of millions of children based on sex, disability or some other anomaly. A humane society should be protecting the defenseless not killing them for convenience or because they are less developed humans.

To further elaborate on my comments, I want to add the following:

The other thing she ignores is the fact that based on the definition of a fetus:
In humans, the unborn young from the end of the eighth week after conception to the moment of birth, as distinguished from the earlier embryo.

This clearly tells us the fetus is a human being and the unborn young of human beings, because they are human. Therefore, the level of developmental ability is not required to be a human being. The level of function at that stage of development is consistent with all human beings at that stage of life.

In addition, according to the English definition of  human being:
n.
A human.
The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language, Fourth Edition copyright ©2000 by Houghton Mifflin Company. Updated in 2009. Published by Houghton Mifflin Company

The term human and human being are interchangeable. Now on to the legal term for person, which many proabort advocates claim the human fetus are not yet persons/people until they are born:

PERSON. This word is applied to men, women and children, who are called natural persons. In law, man and person are not exactly synonymous terms. Any human being is a man, whether he be a member of society or not, whatever may be the rank he holds, or whatever may be his age, sex...Natural persons are divided into males, or men; and females or women.
A Law Dictionary, Adapted to the Constitution and Laws of the United States. By John Bouvier. Published 1856.
Therefore,  because the species& gender of a fetus can be determined through DNA and ultrasound, they are either female or male, thus legally natural persons and they are legally human beings regardless of age or gender.

Additionally, because a human fetus is a homo sapien and the offspring of human beings, they are legally persons:
person n. 1) a human being.

Copyright © 1981-2005 by The People's Law Dictionary Gerald N. Hill and Kathleen T. Hill. All Right reserved.

Scientifically a fetus is a human being and a person because a human fetus becomes a person once the ovum is fertilized by the sperm;DNA proves fetus  are alive and of human species. The medical definition of a fetus,in humans, is seen again below:

fetus  fe·tus (fē'təs)
n. pl. fe·tus·es
  1.  The unborn young of a viviparous vertebrate having a basic structural resemblance to the adult animal.
  2.  In humans, the unborn young from the end of the eighth week after conception to themoment of birth.
The American Heritage® Stedman's Medical Dictionary

Here are more definitions and resources to establish that a human fetus is a human being/person entitled to human rights, including the right to life:

Medical Dictionary
person  per·son (pûr'sən)
n.
  1.  A living human.
  2.  The composite of characteristics that make up an individual personality; the self.

KeithLMoore,PhD andT.V.N.Persaud MD have a great book on embryology, entitled the Developing Human, explaining the scientific and medical definitions and stages of human development which confirms we are human beings from our biological beginning.

Finally, Internationally the UN Declaration of Human Rights also declared in 1948 that a fetus has human rights  under the charter of The World Medical Association of Geneva,Physicians oath, recognizes the fetus has human rights from conception.
Additionally, according to the Fourth Geneva Convention of 1949 Article 33 states: No protected person may be punished for an offense he or she has not personally committed-Fourth Geneva Convention 1949 Article 33. Abortion clearly executes/punishes a living person/human being in the womb who has committed no crime.

In addition, The American Convention on Human Rights treaty signed by former President Jimmy Carter in 1977 says:
Article 1(2)says:For the purpose of this Convention, 'person' means every human being&

Article 4(1)of The American Convention on Human Rights says:Every person has the right to have his life respected. This right shall be protected by law& in general, from the moment of conception.

Therefore, under this legally signed treaty by a former President, and based on science, legal& medical definitions above, human fetus have human rights and are protected as persons. Sadly, for unknown reasons,Congress has not yet signed on to this International Treaty, but it is said to be legally binding since it is a signed treaty. The abortion lobbyists are most likely behind the treaty  not getting signed, since in 1973 the Supreme Court ruled on Roe V Wade&the US has ignored this 1977 treaty, along with the medical and scientific definitions of what constitutes a human being/person.

Parents of Baby killed by falling tree limb in Central Park speak out! #parents #kids #prolife #prochoice

I recall hearing about this story last year and like most parents I was very saddened by it. I can't imagine losing my children to natural causes let alone a freak accident like this. Can you imagine taking family pictures on a warm summer day, while visiting the zoo with family& suddenly a large tree branch falls on you& your infant child?

As soon as it happened, strangers rushed to help the couple, sadly their six month old daughter was unable to be saved by CPR and the mother was left in a medical comma. A year later, the mother suffers numerous physical impairments which keep her from driving, dressing, showering and walking on her own. She was a vibrant executive and now she is dependent on others for daily help. They don't know if they will be able to have another child because of her physical impairments, but they are hoping they can in the future.

If only other women would realize how much a blessing the gift of life and motherhood is;as that child you have could be your last. Sadly over 3,000 children per day are aborted in the US each day, while couples like the Ricciutti's are unable to or unsure if they will ever be able to conceive& carry a child to term again.

I wish more of the proabortion movement would realize what they don't want is a gift for another. Instead they think of their preborn offspring as property to dispose of as medical waste. Maybe if they thought of the preborn as "one man's 'trash' as another man's treasure" they could see the humanity of giving a child up for adoption instead. Instead of choosing abortion the majority of time. Why doesn't the proabortion movement do more to save these lives& give someone else the joy of parenting and a child a chance at life??

"She was our Christmas gift," Karla said.

Being a new mom was a dream come true.

"We were thrilled every day," she said. "Gianna just amazed us. She was a good baby. She had amazingly beautiful eyes, and she just loved being around people. She loved when her daddy would give her kisses on her feet, and she giggled all the time. I used to call her my 'Gianna bird' because when she was little, she used to sound like a bird."
Karla has lost much in the past year beside her daughter.

There have been "far too many surgeries and injuries to list," said her lawyer, Dino Mastropietro. She's had procedures on her brain, eyes, nose, cheeks, throat, neck, stomach and shoulder, and her lawyer says more surgery is inevitable.

CRUEL FATE: One year ago, a massive falling branch in Central Park killed 6-month old Gianna Ricciutti (above with dad Michael and mom Karla Del Gallo, who was seriously injured).
CRUEL FATE: One year ago, a massive falling branch in Central Park killed 6-month old Gianna Ricciutti (above with dad Michael and mom Karla Del Gallo, who was seriously injured).

Since the incident, Karla can't read, perform yoga or jog as she did before.
She used to enjoy taking her daughter for walks or to visit family. Now she can barely walk on her own. She can't dress herself, or drive. She needs her husband's help to take a shower.

"It felt -- and it still feels like -- you're not who you were," Karla said. "I was very independent and intelligent and professional. I was a wife and a mother.

"Cognitively, I'm not where I was," she said. "I don't have the full use of my left arm, so I can't do a lot of things. I've lost some vision in my right eye.
"There's always somebody here to help me, to get dressed, to eat, to go to the grocery store. Simple things that you take for granted every day, and that I did without thinking before. Now I need a supervisor basically. It's humiliating."

She's not sure if she'll be able to have another child.
"I'm no longer a mom," Karla said. "Just dealing with that fact -- all these things are different, and changed forever. I'm thankful that I'm still a wife, and I have a wonderful husband who's stayed with me, thankfully, through this nightmare."

"We just agreed that neither of us would give up," Michael said.

Gianna was the second person to die, and Karla the third to suffer devastating injuries, as a result of falling tree limbs in Central Park in the past two years.

#prolife Former #prochoice NARAL-NY prez to admit to $75K expense account abuse;blood $$ used for vacation home,car&child care #tcot

Not only does the proabort movement dishonestly tell women their preborn offspring is not a child or a baby or a human being in the womb;but they fleece them for blood money to take lavish vacations, buy cars and pay for child care. Then they use the excuse they overlooked expense reimbursements. I wonder how much this goes on with taxpayers money to organizations like Planned Parenthood?

Former president of NARAL Pro-Choice New York pleaded guilty in Manhattan today to lying on her expense accounts -- and agreed to pay the pro-choice charity back for $75,000

Prosecutors say she spent at least $75,000 on clothes, meals, car service, child care -- along with $13,000 toward a July, 2009 Hamptons summer rental -- but claimed the expenditures were work-related.

Conlin received a non-jail sentence, and will not be incarcerated unless she fails to pay the $75,000 back within a month, in which case she faces anywhere from 1 and 1/3 to four years prison, Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Larry Stephens told her.

Her plea covers expense account falsifications dating from 2007 to 2010; she concealed her conduct by telling staff that expenditures were authorized by the organizations' boards of directors, prosecutors said.

Both sides agreed to the $75,000 reimbursement, but prosecutors said that due to the nature and duration of her conduct, the exact loss to the non-profits was impossible to quantify.[my emphasis]

Your Body, Your Choice:When your choices endanger others should the government step in?? #prolife #prochoice #science #women

This is in response to a post at Discovermagazine.com entitled Your Body, Your Choice: Fight for Your Somatic Rights.

“My body, my choice.” We hear that slogan constantly, but what the hell do those four words mean?

Many of us have one or two political issues surrounding our bodies that get us fired up. Many of you reading this right now probably have some hot-button issue on your mind. Maybe it’s abortion, or recreational drug usage, or marriage rights, or surrogate pregnancy, or assisted suicide, or sex work, or voluntary amputation, or gender reassignment surgery.

For each of these issues, there are four words that define our belief about our rights, “My body, my choice.” How you react to those words determine which side of any of those debates you are on. That’s just the thing, though – there aren’t a bunch of little debates, there is just one big debate being argued on multiple fronts. All of these issues find their home in my field of philosophy: bioethics. And within the bioethics community, there is a small contingency that supports a person’s right to choose what to do with their body in every single one of those examples. Transhumanists make up part of that contingency.

If you are pro-choice on abortion or think that gender reassignment surgery is an option everyone should have, you agree with transhumanism on at least one issue.

Anyone who claims 'my body, my choice' is forgetting about the separate living human body inside them when pregnant. It's not their body or kidney/organ removed& dismembered by abortion.

I am not as much concerned about amputees, but sex operations are a bit unethical and go against biology. You may not 'feel like a man or woman' but your genitals & physical traits are distinct in telling the difference between male and female. Surrogacy or any other life saving or selfless use of your body to help another is something I have nothing against, such as organ donation, surrogacy and pregnancy.

It's when people use their choice to cause harm to themselves or others ie:suicide or abortion that we as a civil society should step in and enforce laws that protect life. While sex changes don't necessarily harm anyone it could cause health risks, mental risks to individuals and other issues in society. We ban drug use because while it harms the user it also can harm others in society by increasing crime, driving hazards& lead people to make poor decisions that affects others.

Therefore, rights to your body and choices end when those choices affect the life of another individual by causing death or harm. I don't see what's so complicating about this concept. The governments job is to protect innocent life from harm, death, abuse, attack;just as a parents job is to protect their child, from conception, from harm, death, abuse, attack and abortion kills;therefore should be banned in order to protect innocent human beings.

Who says #prolife doesn't help women in crisis pregnancy&provide support? #parents #prochoice #tcot

Another example of walking the talk, monks at Belmont Abbey in North Carolina have opened a dorm for pregnant college students. Students do not have to be enrolled in the college to live there free of cost. They will also receive parent education classes at no charge.

Land for the 10,000-square-foot dorm was donated by the Benedictine monks who founded the college in 1876, Abbot Placid Solari, chancellor of Belmont Abbey, told the Charlotte Observer.

"This is a way we can make a positive contribution," Solari said.

The nonprofit agency Room at the Inn has raised more than $2 million of the $3 million estimated construction cost for the dorm at Belmont Abbey. Jeannie Wray, executive director for Room at the Inn, said the agency has been providing services to pregnant women and children in Charlotte since 1994.

When will the pro-abortion movement give credit where credit is due? Many crisis pregnancy centers also help women choose to give birth rather than encourage abortion, yet they are attacked for not advertising they don't provide abortions. It seems obvious to me that a crisis pregnancy center is there to help and support the woman in crisis, so that the crisis is diverted rather than killing the preborn baby so the mother can avoid parenthood.

If women are given the support and encouragement they need to have and keep the baby they are less likely to abort. This college is doing just that by providing living accommodations to women in crisis&parenting support. What is wrong with that and why don't more pro-abortion advocates support crisis pregnancy centers or organizations like this? Is it because they are often Christian or religious non-profits or because abortion advocates want abortion on demand without exceptions, such as to save the 'life of the mother' or rape and incest? If more women would only have abortions under these exceptions there would be millions of lives saved, since only about 1% of abortions are due to rape, incest or to save the life of the mother.

It's time for the 'my body, my choice' abortion movement  to stop using abortion as birth control and take responsibility as parents. When you conceive you are pregnant and the mother of a child. A woman's responsibility of taking care of her child's well-being starts in the womb, otherwise we wouldn't have warnings against drug use, alcohol use, limit prescription and over the counter medicines that are safe to take during pregnancy. What the mother eats and how she lives her life will affect the health and outcome of her pregnancy and her child at birth. Taking care of your health and your child's well being starts in the womb and abortion does not do that in any way. Instead abortion forces death upon an innocent human being who has committed no crime regardless how conceived and puts women at risk of physical and mental problems later, if not death.

“Fathers” Day: 76% of Men 20-24 have 'fatherless' kids #prolife #prochoice #parents #tcot

Debbie Schlussel shares how the traditional family unit in America has decreased thanks to the lack of morals and traditional values in society. Now we are not only aborting about 1000 kids per day, but we are leaving the ones who are 'chosen' without fathers. The liberation of modern day 'feminists' has reduced the family to single parent homes or less traditional homes where they are raised by grandparents or 'two moms or two dads'.

Thanks to the new genderless movement and push for 'gender diversity' some schools and parents are teaching our kids that gender doesn't matter, and now we are also teaching them that father's don't matter. Men have been reduced to sperm donors and children are just property to be exploited by progressive social experiments or discarded like trash. Again, until we start teaching respect for ourselves, respect for all human life and respect for traditional values, children will continue to grow up fatherless,or be aborted, leaving future generations at risk of economic and emotional despair. Not to mention confusing children about their gender is defying nature and human biology. We don't need to teach kids that you can be a boy or girl on the outside, but a boy or girl on the inside to teach them acceptance, self respect and tolerance of others. The Golden Rule is the only thing kids need to remember,do unto others as you would have done unto you!

Congrats, America.  We are now officially BabyDaddy Nation.  What an incredible achievement.  China and South Korea are making goods and scientists, and we are making babies with no dads.  Gee, and you wonder why we are lagging behind.
For Many of These Guys, It’s Just Sperm Donors’ Day
As you know, America celebrates Father’s Day on Sunday.  But, unfortunately, numbers show that for men age 44-and-under in America, half of them aren’t really fathers, just sperm donors.  It’s not all their fault–it takes two, and many women keep them out of their kids lives or refuse marriage or enjoy the high-paid, glamorous life of being the reality TV star daughter of a famous half-governor.  But the statistics from Pew Reserch Center are scary and a disturbing trend for America and its complete social breakdown.
Declining marriage rates and increases in out-of-wedlock births and multi-partner fertility have given rise to complicated family structures and have increased the likelihood that fathers will not reside with all of their children. According to the NSFG [National Survey of Family Growth, Pew Research Center], nearly half of all fathers (46%) now report that at least one of their children was born out of wedlock, and 31% report that all of their children were born out of wedlock. In addition, some 17% of men with biological children have fathered those children with more than one woman.
And it gets worse.  Look at the graph above.  More than three-quarters of all births to men age 20-24 are illegitimate.
Nearly half (46%) of men ages 15 to 44 with biological children report that at least one of their children was born outside of marriage,5 and 31% report that all of their children were born outside of marriage. In contrast, 69% report that they have had at least one of their children within a marriage.
Among young and middle-aged men, the likelihood of having a child out of wedlock varies by cohort. Among biological fathers ages 20 to 24, more than three-fourths (76%) have had a child out of wedlock, while this share drops to 36% for fathers ages 35 to 44.
There are notable differences by race and ethnicity, as well. Some 37% of white biological dads have had at least one child out of wedlock, while 77% have had a birth within a marriage. Black and Hispanic fathers are much more likely to report having had a nonmarital birth. Among black men, 72% have had a child out of wedlock, and 48% have had one in marriage; and among Hispanic men, 59% have had a birth out of wedlock, and 58% have had a birth within a marriage. . . .
Just over half (55%) of men with biological children are married to the biological mother of all of those children. An additional 7% of biological fathers are cohabiting with the mother of their children.
Debbie's written before  about how 41% of births to American women are illegit.
It's time for men to take responsibility and demand father's rights. Feminists can not and should not be deciding the future of our children. Children need both parents to grow and thrive in a stable home environment. I know my sons are thankful for a great dad and I am grateful for a loving husband who works hard and has been involved with them since day one and throughout my pregnancy.
