7yro Wyatt McDaniel of TX , dies after he is BURIED ALIVE while playing in the sand with his little brother

Such a heartbreaking tragedy. I can't imagine the parents loss and the sadness his little brother must feel after losing his brother who he was so close to. I pray he never feels the blame and understands it was a horrible accident. How I wish the parents were watching over them more

closely. My thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved. RIP Wyatt.

I changed the heading of this article because it implied his younger brother was responsible for his death. I don't think the media should put the burden on his five year old brother who would not have known of the dangers of his brother suffocating in too much sand. Sadly, his parents weren't supervising them close enough to be aware of what was taking place to warn them of the dangers. The original headline said Wyatt McDaniel: Boy, 7, dies after he is BURIED ALIVE by his little brother while playing in the sand. Below is the story:

A seven-year-old boy has died after being buried alive by his younger brother as they played in a pile of sand at their rural home.

Wyatt McDaniel was pulled unconscious from the mound of sand after his five-year-old brother alerted their father.

Despite desperate efforts by Charlie McDaniel to revive his son with CPR and later by paramedics the boy went into cardiac arrest.

McDaniel was pronounced dead after being airlifted by helicopter from the family's horse farm in Bexar County, Texas.

Although police are working on the theory that Wyatt was buried by his brother they said that no one yet knew for sure how the seven-year-old ended up in the pile.

Accident: Police are working on the theory that Wyatt was buried by his brother, but they said that no one yet knew for sure how the boy ended up in the pile.

Results of full autopsy has yet to be carried out for what police believe was a tragic  accident on Friday.

Police said it appeared the two boys had been playing in a pile of loose beach sand at the horse farm and riding school.

It is believed they had dug a hole in the top the pile of loose sand and younger brother Logan may have piled the sand back on top trapping his brother.
