Sunday I had the opportunity to speak with Financial Coach, author and speaker Sharman Lawson. Sharman shared with us her three tips to get out of debt, along with an overview of the twelve steps needed to eliminate debt forever, as discussed in her e-book. Sharman said the majority of her clients are women, however it is not because women are the only ones with financial problems but because women are usually the ones who seek out help or they are usually the ones responsible for managing or accounting for household finances. Listen in to our discussion by clicking the player to the right here on the blog through August 17, 2008 or visit the archives.
Sharman Lawson is living proof that you can live debt-free. Sharman and her husband paid off all their debt including their mortgage in less than five years, on a combined income of less than $50,000 a year. That is when she started conducting seminars and educating others on how to manage their money and live debt free. Her testimony is inspiring. She lets you know that it's not your education, title, position or the amount of money you make that is important. It's stepping out on faith, trusting God, believing the impossible is possible, and knowing that going after your purpose, passion and dream is better than all the things you sacrificed.
