Military Channel honors veterans with weekend movie series #vetsday #tcot

May God bless and continue to protect our troops in harms way and those who have fought and served our country. My grandfather, who served in WWI, my dad who served in WWII, my Uncle who served in Korean War and my brother-in law now serves in the Army and has been to Afghanistan two times already. I thank them and all of our brave men and women who serve our country daily and their families for the sacrifices they make each day to keep America safe and the land of the free!

Military Channel honors veterans with weekend movie series

In honor of Veterans Day, the Military Channel and G.I. Film Festival announced Thursday that the station will air some of the award-winning films featured in the military-themed film festival.

The films being shown this weekend include "Shakey's Hill," a documentary about a CBS camera man who followed a battalion of U.S. soldiers through the jungles of Cambodia; "Triangle of Death," a film directed by a Marine sergeant that chronicles the day-to-day struggles of a Marine unit in Iraq; and "God and Country," a film about Adolf Hitler's attempts to bring down Great Britain during World War II.

The series will air on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 9-11 p.m. It will run every weekend through the end of November.
